Welcome to Red‑Point’s Dirtbag Program. We set aside 40% of our net subscription revenue for contributors. Net means after App Store / Google Play fees, required taxes (GST/VAT where applicable) and affiliate payouts. Your share of that 40% pool is based on how much climbers actually use the areas you’ve contributed.
Contribute an area. Scan walls (drone or iPhone Pro), draw routes on the 3D, drop GPS pins, map approaches, and write clear descriptions.
We build the guide. We process your imagery into high‑fidelity 3D and publish the area in the app.
Climbers use it. They explore your walls, open routes, save beta, and log sends.
Usage creates points. Each meaningful interaction in your contributed areas generates usage points.
40% pool → your share. We take 40% of net subscription revenue for the period and split it across contributors in proportion to their points. More use of your areas = a bigger slice of the pool.
Step 1 — Net revenue: Total subscription receipts minus App Store/Google Play fees, required GST/VAT and affiliate payouts.
Step 2 — Contributor pool: We allocate 40% of that net revenue to the pool.
Step 3 — Points share: Your points ÷ total points (all contributors) = your percentage of the pool.
Step 4 — Your payout: Your percentage × the 40% pool.
Example: If net subscription revenue for the period is $10,000, the contributor pool is $4,000 (40%). If you earned 12,500 points out of 100,000 total points (12.5%), your share is 12.5% × $4,000 = $500.

After. We calculate the pool from net subscription revenue: gross subscriptions minus App Store/Google Play fees, required GST/VAT and affiliate payouts.
Things like area/route views, opens, saves, and logged sends in your contributed areas. (We publish the exact scoring so you always know what moves the needle.)
Factual route data stays factual. Your images transfer to us so we can build the 3D guide; we own the processed models. Your text stays yours, licensed for use on Red‑Point.
Bring your crag to life. Share the beta you wish you’d had—and keep 40% of the net subscription revenue pool when climbers use it.
